Calico was a silver mining town in the late 19th century and was fully abandoned in 1907. It was transformed into an attraction in the 50s and it is very touristy now. It had a population of 2000 when it was booming and there are lots of interesting old buildings and stuff to look around. Too many tourists though, and there was a trump supporting vibe in the air, we took some photos, had a walk and didn’t stay too long.

On our way out, we gassed up and had food at Peggy Sue’s 50s diner, nice place and good food.
