On our way to New Orleans, we stopped at the Houston Space Center. It’s a large museum exposing some rare items that went to space: space suits, lunar and martian soil (you can touch some of them), shuttles that made it to the moon and back, and much more. It was all very interesting and we left pretty amazed at what NASA achieved over the past few decades, as well as the future plans to send humans to Mars.
We slept in a rest area nearby that night, Texas rest areas are the best: guarded, covered picnic tables, toilets and drinkable water 24/7. Perfect.
